Deer

Deer can be found in many countries such as the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.

Male deer grow antlers, which they use when they fight with other deer.

Male deer will shed then grow a new set of antlers every year.

A group of deer is called a “herd”.

Deer have long, strong legs and they can jump over obstacles up to about 4 metres in height.

Deer can also swim very well.

Baby deer are called “fawn”. Fawns take their first steps within half an hour of their birth.
